This play focuses fondly on the foibles of theatre folk, with their tendency toward out-of-control egos, memory loss and passionate affairs which threaten to turn every performance into risky business. This comedy-within-a-comedy captures a touring theatre troupe's production of "Nothing On" in three stages: dress rehearsal, the opening performance, and a performance near the end of the run. The action comes from behind the scenes, and it progresses from garbled lines and missed cues in the dress rehearsal to increasing animosity between cast members in the final performance. Jam-packed with fun and slapstick comedy,
Noises Off is a fabulous farce of slamming doors, falling trousers and flying sardines.
