Membership
While volunteers are the life blood of our theatre, our membership is the foundation upon which our theatre is built. As a nonprofit corporation governed by a Board of Directors, our membership plays a vital role in the governance and management of the theatre and our theatre community.
If you’ve been involved in one of our productions or have volunteered with us before, we encourage you to become a member and take that next step towards keeping PM&L a vibrant and growing community.
How to Become a Member – Summery
Joining PM&L is simple! Just ask a current member to sponsor you, and your application will be reviewed by the Board at their next monthly meeting. Once approved, you’ll receive a link to pay and share your contact details and committee interests. Memberships run September–August, with voting eligibility after six months. Family memberships include up to two adults and all kids (0–18) in the same household.

Membership Costs
Individual Membership: $30 per season
Family Membership: $50 per season (see definition below)
Junior Membership: $20 per season (ages 0–18, includes all benefits except voting rights)
Membership Year & Voting
Memberships run with our theatre season (September 1 – August 31). To be eligible to vote, you must be an active member for at least six months. Starting March 1 each year, we offer a 50% discounted membership rate through August 31. These discounted memberships carry all benefits but do not include voting eligibility until renewed at the full rate with the new season.
Membership Approval Process
To join, you must be sponsored by at least one current active member. Your membership application is then presented to the Board of Directors, who vote at the next scheduled monthly board meeting. Once approved, you will receive a link to complete payment and submit a short form including your contact information, committee interests, and preferences for how your information may be shared.
Family Membership Definition
For membership purposes, a family is defined as up to two active (adult) members residing in the same household, plus any number of Junior members (ages 0–18) who also live in that household. We respect that “family” means different things to different people, and all are welcome at PM&L. However, the discounted Family Membership applies only under this definition.
Benefits of membership include:
- Ticket Discounts to Main Stage Shows (Adult ticket is $25, Members can buy tickets for $20)
- For Season 63 there are 8 main stage show, if you buy just one ticket to each show that is a $40 savings off an adult ticket. Membership is just $30 a year for an adult. There is no limit to member priced tickets.
- Voting Rights
- All Active Members over 18 can vote at any and all membership meetings including electing board members each year
- Discounts or free admission to PM&L social events
- PM&L hosts an annual banquet, Parade watch parties, Opening Night Parties, Summer Picnic, New Year’s Party, and more.
- A voice in programing
- While Staff and The Board of Directors are charged with final decisions, committees are the place discussions about show titles, event types, social event planning, outreach ideas, etc. are held. Members are encouraged to be active on at least one committee a season.
- First to know – Even if you do not take part in committee work Members are notified before the public about show choices, auditions, and events.
- Connection and Exclusive Content
- Members are kept up to date by the Corresponding Secretary via a newsletter, and can connect with other members online via a members only Facebook Group
